The other day I was checking out some forums on the Internet regarding web conferencing and the difference between web conference rooms. I found this one forum entitled, "What's the best web-based conferencing system?". As I continued to read the posts, I couldn't believe the number of posts that recommended Hot Conference as a premier web conferencing system. I know that the Master Distributors are doing this comparison survey and Hot Conference is on the list, so I took a peek at them, and here is what I found people saying about their web conference room:
"It's darn attractive for a lot of situations and at less than $30/mo for a basic room that lets you present to an unlimited number of attendees, it's certainly priced well."
"The greatest problem I found was that it can't track past web site logins: once I logged in to a service during my teleseminar last week, all the attendees were left sitting at the login screen on their computers, even while I cluelessly continued to talk about what I was seeing. The Hot Conference engineers report that they're working on a "desktop mirroring" version, but with no announced release date."
"Nonetheless, the idea of using voice over IP (VOIP) as the cornerstone of online conferencing is terrific, and by being able to sidestep any need for telephone lines or classic teleconferencing, it really becomes commoditized."
To me, the price of their web conference room seems competitive and VoIP is the in way to communicate, but having people "left sitting at the login screen" in their conference room should be totally unacceptable, and "desktop mirroring", what the heck is that? I know any product that is technology based has nagging problems, but to have the engineers "working" on it, is unacceptable. When a problem arises, and we all know one will, it needs to be dealt with immediately.
That's what's so awesome about VereConference. The engineers, are the owners of the company, ad the ones that built it. If a problem arises with your web conference room, you can be assured that the president and CEO will have it fixed immediately. Since they built the conference room, they can fix it. Nobody will be sitting in their web conference room starring a login screen.
